Musical contribution - February 2012
Rondo-Christian Friedrich Ruppe (1753-1826). We have a relatively unknown composer this month. People who have heard of him before, will undoubtedly know him as a result of the Rondo we are offering you this month.
Jan. 6, 2012 - The three manual Opus 37 organ has just got better!
We have put together a very special package, limited to just 10 instruments, for the ever popular Opus 37 instrument. With an extra 9 toe studs (8 general pistons plus Tutti) and our top of the range wood based keyboard for each manual.
Dec. 27, 2011 - First and foremost, I would like to wish you all a happy, musical and, above all, a very blessed New Year. We certainly hope to see you here, on Johannus Orgelbouw’s website, on a monthly basis. If the months of November and December were all about Advent and Christmas, then January will be bringing us the Epiphany season. A time to celebrate the three wise men/kings.
Dec. 19, 2011 - More than a year ago, Robert Rudolph, music director of Messiah United Methodist Church in Springfield, began
the search for a custom-built organ that would reinvigorate the music program at the 2,500-member church.
Dec. 12, 2011 - Last year a Johannus team installed a beautiful Monarke Präludium Hybrid organ in the WNG’s church building in Hanau, Germany.
Dec. 2, 2011 - Recently a beautiful Ecclesia D-47 was installed at the Parish Church of St. Stephen, Whelley, UK. Professor Ian Tracey, one of Britain's best known and most widely respected musicians, plays the organ in this video.
Dec. 1, 2011 - Dear organist, The composer for the month of December didn’t become incredibly famous. Some organ lovers may have heard the Russian folk song variations before (recorded on CD JQZ 98034). However, most people won’t be aware of the fact that this American organist also studied in Berlin and wrote choir works.
